Planners. Doodles. Writing stuff.
These are my biggest happiness in life. I’m not that good in doodling but I always try to be like the ones I follow here on Tumblr. While I was cleaning my room earlier this day, I saw my two other planners. The old ones. I like to backread stuff from them and laugh at how immature and shallow I am before. Plus my really really disgusting handwriting and how it evolved into a much greater gross. haha! Having your own planner is having a best friend which you can share everything and it won’t even complain or bash you. I’d like to keep my innermost thoughts written on them so that i can backread from time to time.
Along with these planners, I learned how each planner have worked for me or not really worked:
1. 2003 PLANNER - I have really bad taste then and never bothered if it suits me. So I snatched this free Avon planner. The cover’s quite cute though (The denim with the pink flower). My writings are as blunt as my social life. All I ever write are everyone’s birthdays, school acquaintances, (crushes) here and there, letter to my bestfriend then. very shallow nothing much to comprehend. but it’sall good. ;)
2. 2011 PLANNER - You might be wondering what a big jump this was and I haven’t got a single planner for 2004 - 2010. I tried blogging online and got hooked so I missed out having a planner. But anyway, during 2011, I purchased this Belle De Jour planner. It’s a perky type of planner (and an expensive one) . These are the type of planners for the socialites since it has these discount coupons that you can use throughout the year. This planner is also for those who just write and do not doodle around their writings. I like this planner a lot but it seems like it did not suit me well since I love doodles and customizing stuff. This planner’s got its own design and it’s available space are limited to your lists, reminders and stuff.
3. 2012 PLANNER - The Starbucks Planner. This planner by far is the best planner i had. It is the combination of both planners i had in the past.. it has this calendar type page so i can have a quick view of to-do’s for the month. and it has its notes page (my fave page). these are the pages where i doodle and write nonsense stuff. heehee.. In this planner, I learn to write my very own “360 words”. I always do this from time to time so I can practice my writing since I am writing computer codes for a living and it really affected my writing and english comprehension. This is by far my most favorite planner. :)
For pure artists’ choice of planner, I would recommend Moleskin. Yes, it is expensive but it has a spaceous design which you can customize everything you intend to write. If you’re short-budgeted, you can go for Scribd. It has almost the same design with Moleskin.
Keep on writing! ;)
